Biography:
Jason Altobelli is an artist living and working in Milwaukee, WI. A transplant from New Hampshire he arrived in the Midwest in 2007 and has recently emerged on the scene exhibiting locally and in Chicago.
Finding his humble beginnings as a graffiti artist he received a B.F.A. from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004 where he studied fine art photography with a concentration in psychology.
Gravitating towards painting after college he took on a more narrative approach to creating his artwork, exploring how images, tone, and movement become conversational as they relate to each other.

Artist Statement:
Revolving around a continual fascination with psychology my artwork is a springboard into the psyche of both the artist and the audience.
Captivated by the idea that people “fall in love” with an artwork I have been pursuing multiple ways of expressing this universal idea. Through a combination of abstraction and narration I hope to achieve a balance between what is logical and emotional while creating artwork that resonates deeply within the core of the audience.
